If you aren’t the best gamer, don’t fear World of Warcraft is the world for you! I am by no means a master gamer, and oftentimes don’t even really have the time to sit down and game between school and work. However, due to WoW quest gameplay format, I am to able to log on do a couple of quest (depending on the length) and log off! I also never felt intimidated by the format as WoW supplies new gamers with tutorials that they can use until they feel confident enough to turn them off. I also loved that when I first logged on and created a new character, I was placed into a starter area with all the other beginners. This made playing and learning how to game a lot less intimidating for me. I will say however one negative aspect of the being a beginner in WoW is the more advanced characters can come into the beginner areas and kill you. WHICH ISN’T COOL! But does still happen, even if WoW does try to protect its beginners with programmed game guards. However once your dead, YOU’RE STILL DEAD. Even with this small abuse against lower leveled characters, I still love playing WoW and it’s a major stress reliever of my daily life! I would recommend this game to any of my friends weather they are beginners or not, because I feel like WoW is a game which anyone can play! I mean I’m playing it, the girl who didn’t even know you could move with the “AWSD” keys, therefore anyone should be able to!

World of Warcraft started out as a serious game for serious players. Now it has gone to the trolls and the noobs. Let me disclaim this review by stating that I have nothing against new players, I myself was a new player. Nor do I have anything against any of the more advanced players, as I myself am only a level 55 human mage, who understands there are many players ahead of me. Now what I don’t like is when there are noobs and trolls on the servers. When I say noobs I’m referring to the level 20s who sign up take raids that way to advanced for them! All this does for the rest group is slow us down and gets us killed. WoW needs to step it up and place more restrictions because last thing I need is catfished by noob while raiding, and cost my group their lives. RAIDS ARE NOT FOR LEARNING THAT’S WHAT QUEST ARE FOR! Then there are the trolls which are just as bad as the noobs. These are the players that are nearing the 120 level mark and are way to proud and cocky in their ability to have an awesome virtual life. Trolls make it harder for everyone else to succeed as they are constantly going to lower level areas (practically everywhere at 120) and killing everything and anyone. They will also pressure low levels to duel against them, just to embarrass them while gaming. NOT COOL! While some players claim that this are only minor issues while gaming I think that it needs to get fixed now, and until then I won’t be playing. WoW prides themselves on creating an inclusive gaming society, well they better get working cause it’s going away!

My brother always called me the “best average okayest gamer”, and I never really tried to pull myself out of that title. Honestly, it’s been something that I have worn with a little pride- I enjoy playing video games, but I don’t usually do more than just hold my own. I played WoW a little bit in high school but couldn’t get into it as I didn’t have a good internet connection (dial-up in a rural area really sucks). I remember really enjoying the game and after seeing an advertisement for it that rekindled my interest, I decided to download and play. At first I was a little intimidated because, let’s be honest, although I have some passion for fantasy gaming and MMORPG, I really am not that gamer that I would want to play with in a questing or raiding group. I die pretty quickly in PvP combat and am not the fastest mover arounder. The thing I really liked about WoW, was that you can’t really do much PvP until level 15- but to get to level 15, you have to complete a good amount of quests over a couple of days of gaming. By that time, you become proficient with the keys, action bars, game interface and function. It really boosted my confidence about joining dungeons and raids… though the first few dungeons I went on, I know I looked like a complete idiot, but it was pretty easy to figure out… there are a ton of online sites and forums that guide you through whatever question you have in the game, so if you are an average gamer or even someone that has never played a video game ever before in your life, WoW is a fun game to become involved in. Maybe I'll work on a "world's most okayest gamer" title for the future
